Sorting your customer lists

Niteflirt gives us the capability of sorting out our customer list. In fact, they make it pretty easy, though that may not be apparent when you are looking at it. This is what my customer list looks like right now. If you look under Customer Type, you can see I've got a lot of New Customers, but you can see other types, too. If you have never sorted your list all the customers showing will be New Customers. Click the View Details link in the My Customers menu to compare.

Click on the Customer Lists tab.

If you have never created any lists, you should see these three default types: New Customers, Blocked, and Unassigned

You're going to create a new list now. Click Create new list.

Name the list No Purchase by typing in the box. Click OK

No Purchase now appears in your list of customer lists. Click Main View to return to your list of customers.

Clicking on any of the column headers will sort the list by that criteria.

Click once on Customer and it will sort your customers by alphanumeric order. Click again and it will sort them in reverse order, 'z' first.

Click once to sort by the number of calls received, from the most to the least. Click again to start the list with those who have made no calls to you.

Click to sort by the number of recorded calls a customer has made.

Click to sort by the number of mails a customer has sent to you.

By default your customer list is sorted from most recent to oldest. Click once to have the oldest first.

Click once to sort your customers by how much money they have spent on you. The highest paying customers will come first. Click again to reverse the order. The customers who have never spent any money on you will be at the top.

Click to sort by customer type. I find it much easier to click on the Display List box and choose the list you wish to view.

Play with all these headings, and also click in the Display List box to try sorting out the lists. Now in the Display List dropdown, select New Customers and click the Display List button. Now click in the Total earnings header until the customers who have never spent any money are at the top. Check the ones whose total earnings are equal to $0.00. Now click Assign to List.

Click the drop down list and select No Purchase. Click OK.

These customers are no longer on your New Customers list. They are now on your No Purchase list.

Make as many lists as you need to to keep your customers sorted out. Customers who buy photos might go on a Photos list for a bulk mailing when you get new pictures. Return callers might go on a Return Callers list. Tributors could go on a Tributes list. Flirts can go on a Flirts list.

After you get your lists set up and your customer base set up, it is super easy to sort customers onto the right list when they first contact you.

Now go to send an email. Choose "Customer Lists" rather than "Member Names"

Select the list you wish to send to by clicking the correct box in this column.

Hit 'OK', then finish the email and send.
